Dr Robyn Horsley OAM is a consultant Occupational Physician and the Founding Director and Principal of HDA Medical Group. She has extensive experience in Occupational and Environmental Medicine.with a specific interest in Return to Work Management and Musculoskeletal Medicine.
Dr Horsley has held a number of positions with the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) as part of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) over the years, including five years as Federal Councillor and four years as Federal Honorary Secretary. She has been a member or the Federal Examination / Assessment subcommittee since 2002 and has convened the practical exit examination for trainee Occupational Physicians since 2002.
Dr Horsley has been involved with the Worksafe / TAC Quality Assurance Program, oversighting reports from independent assessors since 2002.
Dr Horsley has been a member of the Department of Veterans Affairs National Technical Advisory Committee since 2004 and is currently involved in a pilot program with Professor Greg Murphy from La Trobe University to improve vocational outcomes and better reintegration for Defence personnel who are discharged on Medical Grounds.
Dr Horsley was a Lecturer in Occupational Medicine, Department of Epidemiology and Preventative Medicine Monash University 1991 – 2004 and Tutor from 2005
Dr Horsley received the AFOEM President’s Award for Education and Teaching in 2010.
Dr Horsley received an Order of Australia Medal in June 2012 for services to Occupational and Environmental Medicine and to Medical Education. |
